My ASLI Journey
This page is about my journey as an ASLI student at the University of Houston and the moments that have shaped me.

Interpreting a Houston City Council Meeting
This was the first time I got real-world practice with interpreting and it was a struggle at times. This event made me realize how much room there is to grow and how far I have come in the program.

Beauty and the Beast ASL Performance
This was the first theatrical show I interpreted with my classmates and it was a wonderful experience. I got to learn more about the theatrical side of the interpreting field and found it was something I genuinely enjoyed.

UH ASLywood Show
This was the first time I performed an ASL story in front of a large audience. It was nerve-racking but thrilling to see audience interaction.

Medical Interpreting Simulation
My first taste of medical interpreting, partnering with the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine. This was the first time medical students, ASL interpreting students, and the Deaf community came together to create this kind of medical simulation.
